What this site collects

Lamella does not ask visitors to register, does not set an account, and does not collect names, postal addresses or telephone numbers. There is no comment system, no newsletter and no upload form on the public site.

Standard web-server request data — IP address, timestamp, requested path, referrer and user-agent string — is written to an access log by the web server. It is used in aggregate to see which records are read and to detect automated traffic, and it is retained for as long as the server keeps its logs.

Cookies

The public site sets no cookies of its own. Cookies are set only inside the administrative panel, which is reachable at /admin and is reachable only by its single operator, and there they are strictly functional: a session cookie and a CSRF token. /admin is excluded from search engine crawling in robots.txt.

Advertising and Google AdSense

This site is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this website or to other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to visitors based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. Visitors may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and may opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info.

The DoubleClick DART cookie

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses the DoubleClick DART cookie to serve advertisements on this site. The DART cookie enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Visitors may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google advertising opt-out page.

Third-party ad networks and exchanges served through AdSense operate independently and have their own privacy policies. This site has no access to, and no control over, the cookies that those third parties set.

GDPR — visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland

Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, the lawful basis for processing request data is legitimate interest in operating and securing the website, and for advertising cookies it is consent, collected through the consent mechanism that Google's advertising products present before non-essential cookies are set.

Data subjects in those territories have the right of access to personal data, the right to rectification, the right to erasure, the right to restriction of processing, the right to object to processing, and the right to data portability. A request to exercise any of these rights can be sent to [email protected] and will be answered within one month.

CCPA — California residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion of that information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

Lamella does not sell personal information. To exercise a CCPA right, write to [email protected]. Requests cannot be actioned without enough information to identify the data concerned, and the access log is the only category of data this site holds.

Children

This site is not directed at children under the age of thirteen and does not knowingly collect information from them.
